bike .. the 36-year old has spent almost a decade pedaling
around the world. |
The Great Wall of China, the Taj
Mahal and the Pyramids are just some of the wonders Richard Gregg
has visited cycling around the world.
The 36-year-old has spent almost a decade pedal ling away and
says there's plenty more years and kilometers to go, before the
adventure is over.
Mr. Gregg, originally from England, took a well-earned rest in
Darwin this week from a journey that has spanned 34 000km, across
four continents.
Mr. Gregg said his desire to tour the globe was sparked by a
positive outlook and the inspirational people he met along the
way.
He said: "Adventure has always been in my blood--life itself
is one big adventure.
"Many people use motorized transport to travel (but) my
bike allows me to travel and keep fit all at the same time."
Highlights
Mr. Gregg said a highlight of his trip was a Canadian man he
met in China, who was running the length of the Great Wall, after
suffering paralysis earlier in life.
Mr. Gregg said he planned to cycle for two or three more years
across Australia, New Zealand and America.
